Autumn seminar: The economics of tobacco control - costs and productivity impact of tobacco use

Speakers' panel includes Dr David Madden(UCD), Damian Loscher (TNS mrbi), Paul J Crowley (CSO), Dr Nazih Eldin (NEHB), Dr Naresh Chada (DHSSPS - Northern Ireland), James Repace (US Scientific Consultant).

The keynote presentation will look at the economic costs of tobacco use in the workplace. Supporting presentations will feature current research on perceptions of smokers at work and smoking prevalence in Ireland, a review of economic, trade and other data sources on tobacco use and the viability of various intervention measures to address environmental tobacco smoke.
